Professional School Counselor

This is my ninth year as a Professional School Counselor at CPS. I really enjoy getting to know our students and helping them succeed in school. One of my priorities is to visit each classroom every month. I teach classroom lessons to help our students learn problem solving skills and hopefully prevent some of the issues students may face as they grow up.  I teach lessons in three areas: academic, career, and personal/social skills. I also highlight our school character word each month in my classroom lessons.

Here are the lesson topics this year:

Study Skills-Listening, Following Directions and Being Organized

Problem Solving

Living a Healthy, Drug Free Life

Cooperation, Caring and Empathy

Personal Safety Lesson

Careers-Teaching the Georgia Career Clusters

Making Friends and Transition to the Next Grade

Please feel free to call me or visit if there is anything I can do to support your student at CPS or to help you as parents.
