Subjects Taught
Second Grade

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Piedmont College. Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to work with students in various elementary schools. I served as a paraprofessional for the Cartersville School System, where I worked with primary school and elementary school students. While in that role, I received special recognition by being selected as a H.E.A.R.T.S. recipient, which is a special recognition given to employees that have been nominated by their colleagues for their work in the school system. This year will be my seventh year teaching at Cartersville Primary School and my sixth year as a second grade teacher. My husband and I have been married for 18 years and we have two wonderful children. Robert is our oldest and Peyton is a Senior at Cartersville High School.

Our class will be exciting, full of learning experiences and special memories. I love teaching and believe that learning should be fun as well as structured. I also believe that the best way for a child to be successful in school is for the teacher and parent to work together. I consider us a team working together to provide your child with the best possible education. I have a strong work ethic and a passion for working with students. I look forward to getting to know your child and helping them have a successful school year.
