Subjects Taught
Second Grade

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood at the State University of West Georgia in 1998. I completed my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Classroom Leadership at Kennesaw State University in 2005.

I am entering my 18th year of teaching. During my first year, I was a responsible for K-5 Instructional Support.  Since that year, I have taught both Kindergarten and First Grade.  This will be my first year in 2nd Grade!  I am very excited!

I am married to William Scott, and we have 5 children, all girls, whose ages are 23, 20, 19, 9, and 7.  I have lived in Cartersville for my ENTIRE life, except for when I split my time between Cartersville and the campus of West Georgia (even then I was home almost every weekend)!  I even attended City Kindergarten!  With that said, please know that I BLEED PURPLE in every way!  I will do my best to help your child to succeed and excel in school.

When I am not at school, I love to read, spend time with my family, and go to exploring.  I read any books I can get my hands on!  I love going to the bookstore to find books that interest me.

I LOVE teaching, which requires me to spend many hours outside the classroom preparing instructional materials and activities. It is this love of teaching that drives me to believe that it is important to help develop each child into a strong lifelong learner.  If you ever need me or have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime.
