Bio

Dear First Grade Families,

WELCOME! I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Dixie Mullinax. The students in my class call me Mrs. Dixie. I have taught either First grade or Pre-First for the last 30 years. I have been at Cartersville Primary School for 17 years.   Being born and raised here in Cartersville, I am thrilled to work at CPS and am happy to be your child’s First grade teacher!

I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his/her potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the 180 days ahead. My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and everyone learns in a different way. As your child’s teacher, I will try to instill a love of learning, help them reach new academic heights, and work well with their peers in a variety of learning situations.

I believe communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. Through our daily routine, you will be involved and participate in helping your child learn. I encourage you to contact me anytime if you have questions or concerns. You can text me through the DoJo or SeeSaw apps, email me at dmullinax@cartersville.k12.ga.us, or call me at (770) 382-1733 to leave a voice mail. For individual concerns, I will contact you via DoJo, call, send a note home, or email you (if an email address is provided).

Please feel free to participate in your child’s First grade year as much as you are able. Helping hands and donations are always needed! Whether it is reading a story to the class, helping with class parties, or any other preparation, this will enrich our classroom experiences.

If you have any questions, please contact me. I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year with you and your child!

Sincerely,

“Mrs. Dixie” Mullinax
