I am proud to be working in the community that I grew up in and the school system in which I received my degree.

We are CPS.........Canes Proud and Strong!

Teaching is a second career for me in life.  I worked in my family company for 24 years.  I decided after being in the business world for so many years that maybe I wanted to do something different.  I decided to substitute teach until I could decide what my next venture would be.  Little did I know that I would end up falling in love with teaching.  I was a substitute teacher for seven years in the Cartersville City School System.  During that time I got my Master's in Education and my Special Needs certification.  I worked on a very regular basis at all of the city schools and did many long-term teaching jobs.

I am very proud to say that I am a third year teacher for Pre-Kindergarten Special Needs.  I finally found my next calling in life.  I couldn't love my job anymore.  I am very blessed to have such a wonderful group of kids and colleagues to work with.

I was born and raised in Cartersville.  I am a proud graduate and supporter of Cartersville High School.  Go Canes!!  I am married to my wonderful husband Sean Maguire and we have 2 beautiful children Tracey Dee 18 and Mickey 15.  Tracey is currently a freshman at the University of Georgia Go Dawgs.  She is very active with her studies and sorority.  I get great pleasure from watching her perform and doing what she loves to do.  Mickey is in 9th grade and attends North Paulding High School in Acworth.  He stays busy playing football, baseball, basketball and pretty much anything athletic he can find to do.  I love my children and cherish my time with them.

I truly love the Cartersville community and am proud and honored to be involved in helping to mould the children who are the future of our great city.
